Terms and Conditions for the Bridgestone Chinese New Year Contest 2026 (the "Contest")

 

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS AND CONDITIONS”) BEFORE ENTERING THIS CONTEST. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND BRIDGESTONE MALAYSIA PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH YOU ARE ENTITLED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST. BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO, THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

 

1.     Contest:

-       The Contest shall run from 15 January 2026 to 22 February 2026 (the “Contest Period”) and is open to all residents of Malaysia aged 18 and above as at the date of application within the Contest Period.

 

2.    To be eligible to participate:

-       Purchase 2 or 4 pieces of Bridgestone passenger car and four-wheel drive Bridgestone tyres in a single receipt from any of our participating dealers from 15^th January 2026 – 22^nd February 2026.

-       Each purchase of 2 pieces of Bridgestone passenger car tyres will grant you one (1) entry at the Contest.

-       Each purchase of 4 pieces of Bridgestone passenger car tyres will grant you five (5) entries at the Contest.

-       Submit a clear, scanned copy of the original receipt that clearly indicates the products purchased during the Contest Period as proof of purchase to Bridgestone Malaysia together with your full name (as per NRIC), IC number, contact number, email address, dealer shop name, vehicle model, tyre pattern and tyre size.

-       Correctly answer the contest question “ Which Bridgestone tyre series focuses on sports performance and motorsport DNA? Answer: Potenza / Turanza, on https://cny2026.bridgestonetyre.com.my before  24^th February 2026 to be eligible for the Contest.

-       Bridgestone Malaysia will not be responsible for any non-receipt of entries due to incorrect address or incomplete entries. Any entry received after 24^th February 2026  shall be automatically disqualified and proof of transmission shall not constitute proof of receipt.

-       If you submit your entry between 15^th January – 25^th January, you will get a chance to win in the first bi-weekly contest. If you submit your entry between 26^th January – 8^th February, you will get a chance to win in the second bi-weekly contest. This will go on until the last submission on 24^th February 2026 (Invoice date not later than 22^nd February 2026)

-       If you submit your entry between 15^th January – 24^th February but do not win any bi-weekly contest prize, you will get a chance to win in the grand and special prize contest .

 

 

3.       Ineligibility:

-       In the event that you fail to comply with the above requirements and/or provide the full details as required above, you will not be eligible for the Contest.

-       Employees of Bridgestone Tyre Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (“Bridgestone Malaysia”) and its related corporations and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

-       Employees of any party which is directly involved in organising, promoting or conducting the Contest are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

-       Any entry containing (i) NRICs; (ii) telephone numbers and(iii) email addresses used by or associated with any individuals mentioned in this clause 3 shall be disqualified from participating in the Contest.

 

4.    Prizes:

-       Your participation in the Contest gives you a chance to win the following giveaway prizes:

Grand Prize: Honda WR-V x 1

 

Special Prize: 7D5N Japan Trip for 2 pax  x  1

 

Bi-weekly Prizes:

a)    Apple watch series 11 x 10

b)    Apple iPad 11^th generation x 10

c)     Touch N Go e-wallet credits with value RM200 each x 100  

 

-       The Bi-weekly winners for the Contest prizes will be announced via the Bridgestone Tyre Malaysia’s official Facebook and Instagram Page on 27^th January 2026, 10^th February 2026 and 26^th February 2026.  The Grand and Special Prize winners for the Contest will be announced via  Bridgestone Tyre Malaysia’s official Facebook and Instagram Page on 10^th March 2026. The winners will be selected at the absolute discretion of Bridgestone Malaysia and all participants agree not to raise any dispute as to the winners. A participant may only win one Contest prize through the Contest period. Bridgestone Malaysia reserves the right at its absolute discretion to review and vary the Contest winners’ selection process herein at any time without prior notice.

-       The Grand Prize is not inclusive of road tax, and insurance coverage, any additional costs, duties, taxes and/or incidental expenses or charges incurred in relation to the grand prize shall be borne by the winner.

-       Bridgestone Malaysia, its affiliated companies, their agents or distributors accept no responsibility for any costs associated with any prizes or participation in the Contest that are not expressly stated to be their responsibility in these Terms and Conditions. Additionally, each winner of a prize is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, including but not limited taxes imposed on its income.

-       Bridgestone Malaysia will announce all winners on Bridgestone Tyre Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram Page. Bridgestone Malaysia will not be responsible or held liable in the event the winners do not access the said social media or receive announcements thereon.

-       After Bridgestone Malaysia publishes the Bi-weekly and the Special Prize winners on Bridgestone Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram page, the winner will receive an email from Bridgestone. As a condition to receiving the Bi-weekly Prize (except Touch N Go e-wallet credits) and the Special Prize,  the winner will be required  to present to Bridgestone Malaysia’s designated address located at Subang, Malaysia, his or her IC to Bridgestone PIC within 14 days of such winner’s announcement on Bridgestone Tyre Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram page. The Bi-weekly Prizes (except for Touch N Go e-wallet credits) and Special Prize will be presented at Bridgestone Malaysia’s  designated address located at Subang, Malaysia. Bridgestone Malaysia will not be responsible or held liable in the event the winners do not access or receive the email notification.

-       As a condition to receiving the Grand Prize,  following Bridgestone Malaysia publication of  the winner of Grand Prize  on Bridgestone Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram page, the winner will be required to present his or her IC to Bridgestone PIC  within 14 days of such winner’s announcement on Bridgestone Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram page at a  venue to be determined by Bridgestone Malaysia, where the winner will be given instructions for arranging receipt  of the Grand prize.

-       Further to the above conditions, as a further condition to receiving the Special Prize and the Grand Prize, the winner must submit a photo of himself or herself, together with the tyre purchased and the car model via email to Bridgestone Malaysia within 7 days of Bridgestone Malaysia’s email informing the winners of the respective prizes.  

-        With respect to the Touch N Go e-wallet credit, Touch N Go will represent Bridgestone Malaysia  to directly send e-wallet credit to the winners’ Touch N Go apps within 14 days after such winners’ announcement on Bridgestone Tyre Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram.

-       All winners hereby explicitly agree and consent to publication  on Bridgestone Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram page of any photographs and videos taken.

-       The Contest prizes are non-exchangeable for cash or any other item and only the quantities as stated above will be given out. Bridgestone Malaysia reserves the right to alter, change or replace the Contest prizes with other prizes of similar value at any time without prior notice, as it deems fit. Images of the Contest prizes and related events are for illustration purposes only.

-       The Contest prizes are given out on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, non-infringement of intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose.  Bridgestone Malaysia hereby assigns and transfers to respective contest winners absolutely all rights over the Contest prizes, free from any security interest or encumbrance.

-       The winners agree to use the Contest prizes at your own risk. Bridgestone Malaysia shall not be responsible or liable in any manner for any damage, defects, lost opportunity or other consequences (whether negative or not) whatsoever arising from use of  or defects in relation to the Contest prizes (individually or collectively, “Damage”).  The winners hereby acknowledge and agree that any and all claims, remedies or relief in respect of the Contest prizes, including but not limited to non‑delivery, defects, non‑conformity, delay, warranty issues, refund, repair or replacement or any other consequences (whether negative or not) whatsoever, shall be pursued solely and exclusively against the vendor of the Contest prizes. In the event of Damage, the winners shall contact the vendor of the Contest prizes.  The winners shall have no claim, demand, action or recourse against Bridgestone Malaysia in connection with the Contest prizes, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise. Bridgestone Malaysia shall have no liability whatsoever for injury or damage to winner relating to or resulting from participation in the Contest or use of the Contest prizes.  All arrangements, costs and/or expenses to collect and utilise the Contest prizes is the sole responsibility of the respective winners. Additionally, the usage of the Contest prizes may be subject to additional requirements or restrictions relating to their use as issued by the applicable third party, where  Bridgestone Malaysia will not be responsible for the same, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, Bridgestone shall not be liable under or in connection with the Contest or any prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and Bridgestone and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise .

. -          Bridgestone Malaysia and its appointed service providers shall not be liable for any failure to comply with their obligations relating to the Contest where the failure is caused by something outside their reasonable control or force majeure (“Force Majeure”). Such Force Majeure shall include, but is not limited to, epidemic, pandemic, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

 

 

5.    Personal Data:

-       By participating in this Contest , you expressly and explicitly agree and consent that Bridgestone Malaysia and/or its appointed third party and/or its dealers can collect and use your personal data for us to improve their  businesses and/or marketing efforts and to inform of you of future advertising and promotional activities. You further consent to the publication of your name and image on the Bridgestone Malaysia page and social media as well as Contest  related media purposes and/or use of the information that you have submitted for Bridgestone Malaysia’s business and its marketing purposes.  You acknowledge that Bridgestone Malaysia may appoint a third party service provider to administer this Contest in which case you hereby expressly agree and consent for your personal data to be shared with and processed by such third party.

-       By participating, all participants agree and acknowledge that all intellectual property rights thereto shall belong to Bridgestone Malaysia and each participant consents to the collection, use, processing and/or disclosure by Bridgestone Malaysia of any and all of the participant’s personal information including without limitation the participant’s name, photograph or image for purposes of the Contest s, including advertising, publicity, marketing and promotional activities conducted in such manner as Bridgestone Malaysia sees fit, in any media and without additional compensation, notification or permission, and any other activities that are ancillary to the Contest. Participants shall not be entitled to claim ownership and/or other forms of compensation on the materials. 

-       All entries will be the property of Bridgestone and the participant will not claim, use, or exploit the entries for any purpose by any means at any time. By entering this Contest, each participant agrees that Bridgestone reserves the right to publish, use the names and/or photographs of winners as material for advertising and/or trade publicity purposes without payment or prior notice, and further agree that in consideration for being awarded the prize the winners waive all rights associated with the use of his or her name and their image in relation to such advertising and/or trade publicity purposes. Participants shall not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of compensation on the materials.

 

6.    Miscellaneous:

-       You agree and undertake to indemnify, defend and hold Bridgestone Malaysia and/or its appointed third party service providers harmless against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees arising or resulting from, whether directly or indirectly, your participation in this Contest  and/or your breach of the terms herein, or as a result of having possession or use of the Contest prizes.

-       Bridgestone Malaysia has the right to exclude your participation in this Contest  without any obligation to provide notice and/or reasons for doing so. Bridgestone Malaysia reserves the right to disqualify or disregard your participation in this Contest  if you do not comply with the Terms & Conditions.

-       Bridgestone’s decision is final and binding. In the event of any dispute arising from the Contest, or relating to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision of Bridgestone on all matters pertaining to the Contest shall be final and binding on all parties. No correspondence will be entertained.

-       Bridgestone Malaysia reserves the right to amend, withdraw, cancel, suspend, extend, replace or terminate this Contest  in whole or in part and/or to revise, delete, amend and/or supplement any of the Terms & Conditions herein without prior notice and at its absolute discretion. These may include for reasons relating to government regulations, epidemic or other events beyond Bridgestone Malaysia’s control.

-       These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by Malaysian law. In case of any disputes in respect of this Contest  and subject to good faith negotiations between yourself and Bridgestone Malaysia, the decision of the Bridgestone Malaysia shall be final and binding.
